After a summer of sitting dormant, collecting dust and low web traffic numbers, I’m reviving my blog! Yes, it’s been far too long and my busyness can no longer be an excuse for not updating. The last few months have been extraordinarily crazy, from two cross country road-trips, an unforgettable adventure in Africa, the tragic loss of a once dear friend and the emotional turmoil that has accompanied it, to surviving a tornado in Nebraska, taking the best shower I ever took at Heathrow airport in London after a nine hour flight, moving into a beach front apartment in New Jersey with some best friends, and of course, launching the media empire I told all of you that I would launch, Infinity News Network – which came to life on May 1 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. From an age of finite books with endings to a new era of the infinite internet with only beginnings, we’re living in a time unlike any other. Since the dawn of the printing press there has never been a time in all of human history where people are as globally connected as they are today. The greatest tool for free speech, expression and transparency the world has ever known only recently developed in our lifetime. Despite global economic calamity, our generation is arguably facing an era much like the industrial revolution, except digital.
It’s the information and free expression insurgency that led to what inspired the idea of Infinity. As journalism shifts in this new age of online media, people, companies and governments grapple with something that is in no way physically tangible but rather limitless and permanent: truly infinite. We took the elevator to the top floor just to see if there was a good view from one of the hallway windows. There wasn’t. Though, we had some time to kill before former House Speaker and GOP Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich took the stage so we decided to wander. That day all of the high profiles were inside The Marriott Wardman Hotel in Washington, DC. From Mitt Romeny to Sarah Palin, Herman Cain to Rick Santorum and hundreds of reporters and bloggers.. among them Ann Coulter, Tucker Carlson, Andrew Breitbart… just to name a few.
