the beginning is near

This fall, a conversation started that has captured global attention.  A conversation that might be the most interesting in decades; something that’s never before happened has sprung up and sparked a giant awakening.

This conversation has really stirred a lot of people on all ends of the political and ideological spectrums.  It’s a discussion that’s been debated, skewed, spun, extremely confused, tried to be stamped out, silenced, manipulated and in some cases hijacked or attempts to hijack by people, political factions and of course, the media.  In many cases the conversation has been greatly misunderstood, seen by some as an incredible threat and by others, an incredible hope. awakening

So what do we do with our shattered confidence?  Can it be restored?  Whether you agree with the Occupy movement or not, there is no denying that there are some serious problems not only with America, but the entire world.  Not that there hasn’t always. You can agree or disagree all you want with the protests, but you cannot sit back and say everything is okay and on the right track.  Absolutely not.  And the most bizarre part is that we knew it was heading towards this, for years… and now there’s been an awakening and the people are restless, on all sides of the political spectrums.

Uprisings all throughout Europe, the Middle East and now our doorstep… There’s Occupy protests in over 1000 U.S. cities and throughout the world.. We’re entering a new era of The Great Disruption where the extremely wealthy completely isolate themselves from the other classes, the middle class dwindles away , and the giant corperations and investment groups control the wealth and the government, as they have for too long. our new reality

Frustrated by a feeling of powerlessness over taxation policies, economic inequality and a shattered confidence in what was once the great idea of America, it is no wonder that ‘We the People’ my generation in particular, is angry.  And rightfully so..  There is something terribly wrong with corporate greed, the money that controls Washington, the paying and buying of Politicians.  Surely there are those more responsible for this crisis than others, and they should be held accountable..
