Josh Kinney is an impractical daydreamer, journalist, publisher, editor, communications professional, world nomad and hopeful romantic seeking truth and perpetual adventure.
Originally from Philadelphia, Josh attended college at Asbury University in Kentucky. In 2011, he went on to The Washington Journalism Center in Washington, D.C., worked on Capitol Hill as a reporter, started an national alternative news website which received international attention, and launched a popular print and online magazine in the city of Philadelphia. He most recently served as Editorial Manager and Communications Associate for the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of United Methodists, which houses several nonprofit organizations in which he serviced.
His work has been featured in The Philadelphia Evening Post, The Ocean City Sun, Atlantic City Weekly, Philly Weekly, The Daily Caller, The Press of Atlantic City, The Philadelphia Inquirer, iloveOCNJ.com, The Seven Mile Times, The Sea Isle Times, The Wildwood Sun, Friends Journal, The Washington Times, Red Alert Politics, Yahoo News, Infinity News Network, The Asbury Insider, Buzzfeed, The Daily What, The Relay, UMCOM, UM News, The Interpreter Magazine and Thought Catalog.
His travel adventures have taken him to nearly every U.S. state, several countries in Europe, and many trips to Africa.
He describes himself as a ‘New York Times best-selling thinker.’ Friends describe him as a cross between Jerry Seinfeld and Ted Mosby with the mind of Stephen King and Tim Burton sprinkled with a tidbit of Nicholas Sparks. Josh is perpetually working on several unfinished novels that have J.K. Rowling-esque potential.
