and there are lifers. And I could never be a lifer. Maybe it's because I have traveled and lived on my own in new places but I would like to think it's something that's always been a part of me, embedded deep inside my being, a yearning to explore, to journey beyond where I have been or what I know, to expand my reach and to be totally free, unhindered by any kind of restriction.

This short poem was written from the perspective of the children who were in Middle School during the attacks of September 11th. This is how we viewed life afterwards up until the death of Osama Bin Laden.

but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp
I'm too free spirited, too inquisitive and curious. My heart pounds for expedition and new experience! Everyone knows that I can't stay put geographically for too long and I'm feeling another move, an uprooting, a new setting, a new routine, a new adventure and a new pace.
